Happy to Report

“I was downright made at the world.”

Happy to Report

Laurie: I was diagnosed with ductal cell carcinoma in July following my yearly mammogram. After two biopsies, two tags and a postponed and then cancelled surgery, due to my surgeon having a boating accident, frustration set in.

I was downright mad at the world. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. I reached out to God in my darkest hour and ask, “Why me God?” I just wanted the cancer gone.

I didn’t know what to do. I wondered if I should wait for the surgeon to heal or see a new surgeon an hour from my home and move forward.  I decided to go with a new surgeon.

I’m happy to report after a 4-hour surgery, my cancer surgeon and plastic surgeon were able to remove all the cancer and do reconstructive surgery on September 25th.

I am healing well and will be starting radiation treatments soon. I am so grateful for all the prayers I received from my family and friends! I am following the plan God has for me, he’s not done with me yet!

“I am following God’s plan for me. He’s not done with me yet!”
