A Hard Journey

A Hard Journey

Elizabeth:  Nine years ago when I was pregnant with my little girl, my husband said he did not believe in God anymore and did not want to be married. There I was– surprised, a single mom with a newborn, and a just turned three-year-old son. It was hard. It’s still hard every day.

God brought me a life group that has helped me tremendously. My parents were there to help. Nine years later, my little girl is in third grade. She’s singing the lyrics to “The God Who Stays”. He won’t walk away like her dad did. My son is worshipping at your concerts.

It’s a hard journey as a single mom- one that I did not ask for.

“Thanks be to God for getting us this far.”
