Kim: My salvation story is thanks to my older sister. We grew up going to church, so I have always been “religious”. My sister accepted Christ about two years before me.
One day, she looked straight at me and asked: “Do you love Jesus?”
Of course, I answered “yes”.
Then in complete seriousness, she followed up with “Do you want to go to Hell?”
And of course, I said “NO!” and that was the day I asked Jesus into my heart.
I hear all these amazing stories of salvation and think how simple, childish, and uninspiring my story is, but isn’t that the way Jesus works in our lives so often?
Yes, God comes to us in the big, monumental, life-altering, BOOM moments. But more often, He is in the simple, uninspiring, even childish moments. All too often we discount those moments while searching for something bigger. I don’t think I could explain the Gospel any better than loving Jesus. God bless!
