Michelle: Back in 2014, I had 4 surgeries. I listened to K-LOVE and STAR 99.1 every day to keep me positive and bold before every surgery was performed. One of the many songs that kept me inspired was “Strong Enough.” I knew in my heart that God was with me and Jesus was there holding my hand in the operating rooms. I knew I was going to get healed and my life was going to be powerful again.
The reason I had these surgeries was because I had an 87% chance of getting breast cancer and a 50% chance of getting ovarian cancer. Back in 2008, I had to have my cervix and uterus removed. My gynecologist said I was very lucky and did the right thing by having this surgery, because I had cancer growing on my cervix.
After the multiple surgeries in 2014, my body is now cancer free! I did this for my son. I didn’t want him to grow up without a mother. His father left him when he was a year old. So, I did this out of love and I felt that God helped me make the right choice. I thank God for keeping my Faith stronger in Him every day. I trust in Him, believe in Him, and all that He has in store for me. The person I pray for most is my son. I am thankful he was born before all of these surgeries. All in the name of Jesus…AMEN!
