Not My Time

“There were days that I wanted God to take me home…”

Not My Time
Kathy: Hi Matthew, I just want to let you know how much I enjoy your music. The first time I met you was when you were scheduled to sing at a church in Boone’s Creek Tennessee, but the concert was canceled due to snow. I had brought my two grandkids with me, and of course everyone was disappointed, but you came out in the hallway and sang several songs. I knew right then there was something different about you!!  My husband and I came to Fun Fest in Kingsport to see you. God has blessed you tremendously!!!!

I think way back when you first started, you were requesting stories from people to write your songs…since that time, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.  It was very aggressive, and I had to have two rounds of chemo and radiation. There were days that I wanted God to take me home… it would have been so much easier, but it was not my time. That was nine years ago. With all that I have been through, He has never left or forsaken me, but instead He draws closer to me and reminds me He is molding me into what he wants me to be.  I will wait for what He has in store, by the time He gets done chiseling me, I will be a diamond!!!!

Thanks so much for what you are doing for our Christ and Lord. May God bless you and your beautiful family!
