Telling Stories

LeighAnne:  My God moment took a lifetime to reach…well, at least 50 years!

For decades, I worked as an Engineer while loving my life as a wife and mother. I taught Sunday school, attended Bible study… all the things I learned to love after Jesus claimed my heart. I never thought I would be the one to tell His stories!

But, when I was 53 years old, a story about a little bowl that I’d written years before to remind the girls in my Sunday school class that God has a unique plan for everyone- that story was published as a children’s book! God nudged me to seriously consider moving ahead with the novel He’d planted in my brain and heart.

In March 2021, my first novel was released! It’s a story of pain and betrayal but mostly it’s a story of God’s healing and love. It clearly and unabashedly presents the Gospel as the main character finds her way to Jesus. I’d lived it, so I was well-equipped to write about it. My “what if” is thinking, “What if I didn’t obey God and share these stories? And the ones He’s got floating around in my brain right now?” I’m so thankful He gave me the courage to be obedient and share His stories!

My husband and I are such fans of Matthew’s, and when we heard he’d be at our church for his Christmas tour, we bought a bunch of tickets to give to friends who REALLY need Christmas.

We’re so excited to see the Lord move in more lives through Matthew’s stories!

Inspired to Share Your Story?

Matthew likes to call the moment he decided to follow God his " Blue Couch" moment. When you craft your story, you can share your "Blue Couch" moment or other stories where you have seen God at work in your life.
