Sarah: I was saved by God! It was Saturday, August 10, 2019 and I felt abnormal at 30 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I was expecting a baby boy. I had abnormal pressure on my ribs and severe headaches. My husband was on a fishing trip with his cousins, so I made a trip to labor and delivery with my mother-in-law and they decided to keep me for observation. When I was released, I was told to come back the next day and that was when they found out that I was experiencing HELLP Syndrome. I was told I had to concentrate on remaining calm to reduce my stress level, because stress can elevate the liver’s enzymes.
All I remember is the peace and calm the Lord was shining down on me. I was able to remain calm during all the pricking and prodding as they prepared me for an early C-section. The epidural wore off during the procedure, so there was a lot of pain, but it was tolerable, knowing my son was on the way.
I was able to meet my son 16 hours after his birth. He was only 16 inches long. The Lord truly helped me throughout the 98 days he had to stay in NICU at the hospital. I will forever be serving Him and His purpose.
