Forgiveness

“...he had had enough of the family always fighting.”

Forgiveness

Janet: My now almost 20-year-old grandson decided in the fifth grade he had had enough of the family always fighting.

It was Christmas time and he came to me and said I was to call a family meeting once everyone got to the house to celebrate the day. He wouldn’t divulge any information.

He and his fifth grade teacher created a book about apologizing and forgiving, and he also set up a presentation on the computer for everyone to listen to. At the end of the presentation, he played Matthew West’s song “Forgiveness”.

I came across the book the other day that his teacher helped him with, and it made me smile all over again. He is in his second year at Oregon State on a full ride scholarship in engineering. He may be smart and he may have accomplished much, but he is still that little redheaded boy trying with all he had to bring peace to his family.

I just wanted to share this with you and encourage you that although that song may not be in the top ten now, it is in the hearts of so many people!  It is encouraging us to forgive.
